The missing 13-year-old from Heber may have created an online dating profile before she was taken, though investigators say there isn’t a direct link to her disappearance.
NBC 7 in San Diego reported Kaelynne Paez, who went missing Sunday, had several online profiles on adult dating Web sites that may have been created by Kaelynne.
“One profile featuring a photo that resembles Paez also includes this quote in the ‘About Me’ section: ‘I’m Kaelynne … I love to box, play basketball, hang out, meet new people and yeah I’m single’,” according to the news station’s report.
The profile on DateHookup.com also claimed she is 19 years old, has some college education and is interested in meeting men between the ages of 18 and 25.
However, Special Agent Darrell Foxworth with the FBI said it’s important not to go off on tangents. The important thing is to get Kaelynne back home.
“We don’t have any information that directly relates her disappearance to those types of sites,” he said.
The FBI will take a look at any piece of information that comes forward and evaluate it, he said.
Those with information about the disappearance are asked to call the FBI at 760-335-5600 or 858-565-1255.
Kaelynne is described as a Hispanic girl, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
