GLENDALE, AZ – Glendale police have arrested a man they say sexually assaulted a Glendale woman he met online.
The victim immediately reported the attack to police and detectives were able to identify David Wright, 49, as the suspect.
The woman told police the two had a previous date, during which he took her for a ride on his motorcycle. When he arrived for the second date, she allowed him into her home for a glass of water at which time he allegedly assaulted her.
Investigators found Wright was previously convicted of sexual assault involving a sexually transmitted disease related to an attack in Florida over 20 years ago.
Phoenix police detectives are working on three other cases they think may be related to Wright.
“This is scary,” said Sgt. Brent Coombs with Glendale Police. “This is repetitive behavior and now we know of four incidents here in Arizona.
The Glendale and Phoenix Police Departments encourage anyone that might have information on unreported crimes involving David Wright to contact police.
